SCHOOLS & DAYCARES
Kids love drumming!!! We facilitate drumming programs, workshops & sessions for schools & daycares in Winnipeg and the surrounding areas of Manitoba. We bring enough drums & percussion for everyone to participate in a series of interactive games & activities.
We work with all levels of school age students through half day, full day or full week immersive workshops engaging them as a community in making music together. All of our drumming activities and games align effortlessly with curriculum outcomes such as community participation, self expression, patterning and working as a team. We can also work with you to customize our program to a theme that you may be working on specifically with your school or class.
Our daycare programs include the following:
- Per session workshops
- Bi-weekly or monthly sessions
- Pre-school programming
- Events for inservice days
- Programming for the seasonal breaks for school-age students.
Some other information for you to consider is that our drumming programs are culturally neutral and are super fun & interactive.
"We always love having Chris from DNA Rhythms come out and do drumming with us. He is respectful of the children's ideas and has a fantastic demeanor. This year with the restrictions surrounding Covid-19, it has been difficult planning field trips and guests for in-service days but Chris made the experience so smooth and enjoyable. He communicated well through email and helped me feel comfortable with the extra procedures he had in place. On the day of his drumming sessions, he showed up in a mask and practiced social distancing. He had taped X's 2 meters apart onto the gym floor so the children knew exactly where to sit and thoroughly sanitized the drums afterwards. I would definitely recommend booking him for an event. He helped us all have fun, especially in a very challenging and unprecedented year!"
